Recommeded Books
As an avid reader I come across many great books, few stand out or have a significant impact. On this page I will post the books that meet those high standards and a short description.
Chris Nelmes
The Ascent of Money: A Financial History of the World
Niall Ferguson
This was a fascinating and entertaining look at the history of money, bonds, banks, insurance and equity markets. I have read many books on finance; this was probably the most enjoyable. I believe world history and how it relates to money is a vital piece to any investing strategy, and this book is a great introduction. I have put other book by this author on my reading list and would recommend this book to anyone interested in the markets, or financial history.
The Soul of Money
Lynne Twist
This book takes a look at our relationship and beliefs as they relate to money. A book I wouldn’t have though would have interested me, in turn became a book with a noticeable impact on me, and has shifted my outlook on many financial topics.
